Rosemary Roasted Chicken with Garlic and Lemon and Pesto Mashed Potatoes

This was our first venture into real cooking and resulted from watching the 30 Minute Meals program on the Food Network. It came out absolutely fantastic and has inspired us to try all kinds of recipes since then. It’s actually two recipes (one for the chicken and one for the potatoes).
