I got a full time teaching position in SALEM!!!!!!!!!! It’s exactly 1.9 miles from Kyle’s school. We’re floored. I will be a classroom teacher for a 5th/6th grade class and I will also be teaching French. Basically my dream job!!!!! We’re so relieved that neither of us have to commute. I think I’m still in shock that I got the position. We celebrated my birthday last night w/ my family. The triplets made home made wrapping paper that they colored to wrap the gifts. I got a picnic basket full of kitchen things that we needed desperately. Lizzie is 2 years old today!! So we’ll have to celebrate hers today. We’re about to leave for a 50 mile yard sale that takes place in Oregon today. It goes all the way to the coast. Tonight we’re going to see Farenheit 9/11. I can’t wait. It’s already #1!
Hi everyone. We have both been working this summer– Sara at a youth summer camp and Kyle doing programming work for a local research group. It’s better than Paris but both of us are ready for bigger and better things come fall. Kyle will be at Willamette University doing the MBA program, while Sara is either going to have a teaching position or attend the U of O to get her Masters in Education. Either way, it will be another tough year, but should get us closer to where we both want to be. Sara’s birthday was this past Tuesday. We went out for a nice dinner at the Olive Garden, and had a fun night at home. She also got some great gifts, and even Lizzie was impressed:
And here are some of us around Eugene and other parts of Oregon:
Here are some pictures with little nephew Peyton:
Here are a few from the concert we went to for our 2 Year Anniversary in may:
Finally we have some pictures here of our trip to Willamette U in early May:
The site here should be back to normal now. It was out of whack for a while after our brush with celebrity in May. We think there is someone in the Bush/Cheny camp to thank for that. We’ll be better about the updating on here as things progress over the summer. The wedding is coming up in a little over a month! Hope everyone is well.
It’s been a while, but we are still here. Getting through what has been a pretty uneventful summer so far. We’ll post more soon.
