It’s our six month Wedding Anniversay today. We had a nice dinner together. In one week is Valentines day, so Sara is going to be spoiled this month. Also, I’ve joined an Intramural Basketball team full of out-of-shape grad students. We lost our first game by about 50 points to a youthful team of undergrads, but just tonight we pulled out a three-point win over the team from the Law School. Well, over the winter break Sara and I had some free time and found ourselves watching the Food Network quite a bit. As a result, we started doing some cooking ourselves and thought it would be fun to document our creations. So, here on this separate blog we’ll post the results of what we cook up (the good and the bad). This will mainly be a place for us to document what we’ve done, but maybe it will be interesting to other people as well. Anyway, here”s to good eats.

Hi everyone. We are both back into work and school again and getting pretty busy. We’ll try to update more here when we get a chance. Sara is going on 4 field trips in the next week with her class. We’re going to try to go to Eugene this Friday for a French party. Hopefully it will be fun. Go Eagles this weekend. Here are some pictures we took over break:

Hi everyone. We dusted all the cobwebs off of our website here and made a bunch of updates. We added hundreds of pictures to the Photo Albums section– from our Europe trip to the wedding and beyond. Check them all out here (they are all on that first page). These aren’t all that we took, but we tried to pick out some representative samples. There will be more updates in the days to come as well. Watching way too much Food Network has made us try some recipes– some of which even turned out okay. Sara’s back at work now while I’m off for another week. We went up to tour Intel with her class yesterday and it was really interesting. I’m trying to stay busy looking for an internship for this summer. Thanks to everyone who got us Christmas presents! Hi everyone. We are pretty busy with the wedding right now. It’s happening in only about 12 days. We found a nice house in Salem that we will be renting from starting in Mid-August. We took some pictures and will post them up there soon. For our honeymoon, we”re going to the coast for a week- it should be nice and relaxing. We hope to see everyone at the wedding, it should be a great time.

Hi everyone. We have both been working this summer– Sara at a youth summer camp and Kyle doing programming work for a local research group. It’s better than Paris but both of us are ready for bigger and better things come fall. Kyle will be at Willamette University doing the MBA program, while Sara is either going to have a teaching position or attend the U of O to get her Masters in Education. Either way, it will be another tough year, but should get us closer to where we both want to be. Sara’s birthday was this past Tuesday. We went out for a nice dinner at the Olive Garden, and had a fun night at home. She also got some great gifts, and even Lizzie was impressed:

The site here should be back to normal now. It was out of whack for a while after our brush with celebrity in May. We think there is someone in the Bush/Cheny camp to thank for that. We’ll be better about the updating on here as things progress over the summer. The wedding is coming up in a little over a month! Hope everyone is well.

It’s been a while, but we are still here. Getting through what has been a pretty uneventful summer so far. We’ll post more soon.

Hi, we’ve spent the past few days in Medford visiting family and having a little time to relax. Yesterday we went to the Valley View Winery outside of Jacksonville– a really old and really beautiful place. We also went by the town of Buncom, Oregon. This place is a real life ghost town and was really cool to check out. We also went to The Rogue Creamery and picked up some world class blue cheese. Today we went to Emmigrant Lake in Ashland with my grandmother. The weather turned out great and we had a nice little picnic. We were also able to see my uncle on our way there, which was great. Tonight we picked up some French cheese to go along with the local stuff and made ourselves a nice little Fondue (our best imitation of what we had in France). I think it came out pretty darn well and left us all nice and full. Tomorrow we both head back to Eugene for more job interviews and work. We are so happy to be back in Oregon, it’s a dream come true. It’s been very busy, but it’s starting to feel like we are home again. Our next big project is getting our own place, and we are hoping this happens sooner than later. Monday is our two year Anniversary! For starters, we are going to meet with the next president of the United States, and from there, who knows…. Talk to everyone soon. We had a great time here in Medford.
