fun facts on Andrew

He can now sing Itsy Bitsy Spider by himself. I was blown away the other day when he did the whole song alone.

His favorite book is Goodnight Moon. He loves finding the mouse on each page.

6 am is when he wakes up every day! He went through a phase of sleeping later but now he is back to 6.

Wontons

reactions to my wontons for dinner:

Abigail: “yummy”

Andrew : “I like that!”

Kyle: “this is gross”

It is hard to please all these people!

Banana Bread

Out of the blue Andrew said “I want banana bread ” today and started crying for it so I am making him some now. He likes it but Abigail doesn’t care for it. They liked corn and pizza for dinner tonight. I love that Andrew can communicate his food requests to me:) I am glad somebody likes my banana bread because Kyle and Abigail don’t eat it!

How to get your 3 year old to nap

I fell asleep while Abigail was eating lunch and so she took one look at me and jumped in her bed to take a nap too! I guess she got the hint. I will have to do this more often.

Bye Bye Curls

So Andrew got his first haircut. Here is a before and after:

He looks like such a little boy now! I sure miss his curls, they were so pretty but he looks cute.

We are enjoying the sun while it’s out. We had a fun morning- music class, the park with playgroup. And now they are snoozing away and I am drinking some tea and listening to the rain fall. I even got in a nap myself.

Puzzles

Andrew is so good at puzzles. We’ve been doing them together lately. He is really good at the Melissa and Doug shape puzzles. He knows how to put each shape in. He has a little trouble with the triangles.

He has also started crib talk- talking to himself for a bit before falling asleep. Kyle and I sat and listened to him talk last night by the door. He sings a little, talks a little- sounded like he was singing itsy bitsy spider and talking about bath time.

Right now they are into playing “night night” They get in Andrew crib and want us to tuck them in- over and over.

A sweet picture of them together on campus the other weekend-

Latest stage

Kids are growing up so much. Andrew is really showing his personality because he can talk so well. Yesterday in the car, he said “watch this” I turned and he was sticking out his tongue. So he knows how to be funny and tell stories. He does this deep voice sometimes when he talks – especially when he is talking about sports. It is so cute. He loves his music class. He is always eager to get out the next instrument and put away things.

Abigail is a big girl. I love hearing her conversations with her friends. I heard her today telling her friend about how she went to a play in Corvallis. It is hard watching them grow and mature- you seem them get their feelings hurt , you have to hope kids are nice And include them at the park.
